Basketball Recap: Robbinsville Piles Up the Points Against Swain County

After losing to Swain County the last time they met, Robbinsville decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Robbinsville Black Knights claimed a resounding 81-54 win over the Swain County Maroon Devils. The Black Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 25 points or more this season.

Leading Robbinsville to victory were Dane Knott and Bryce Adams. Knott went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points, while Adams dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Adams is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Jumper, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 10 points.

Robbinsville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 12 consecutive contests.

Robbinsville's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-5. As for Swain County, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Robbinsville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-17 win against Highlands on the 23rd. As for Swain County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 86-37 victory against Blue Ridge Early College on the 23rd.
