Recap: Coconino Panthers vs. Flagstaff Eagles

If the Coconino Panthers were riding high off their 61-22 takedown of the Mohave Thunderbirds last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Coconino was outmatched by Flagstaff on the road and fell 69-28. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Coconino has scored all season.

Aubrae Laughter was Coconino's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Autumn Larsen held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

Coconino has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Flagstaff, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.

Coconino won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mingus at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Mingus is ranked 91st, while Coconino is ranked 116th). As for Flagstaff, they will head out on the road to face off against Mohave at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
