Volleyball Recap: Southeastern Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Southeastern, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Ironton Fighting Tigers by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Southeastern was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 18-25, 25-9.

Kylee Dunn paced Southeastern's offense, picking up 21 kills. Dunn got some help from Lilly Steele and her 26 assists. Steele was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Southeastern's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Ironton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Southeastern will venture away from home to take on Chesapeake at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Ironton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
