Basketball Game Preview: Millard Eagles vs. Enterprise Wolves

The Millard Eagles will head out to face off against the Enterprise Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Millard has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Millard is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Water Canyon on Tuesday as Millard made off with a 60-35 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Millard got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Eliza Larsen out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Larsen has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Blakelie Davies, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 16 points and six assists.

Millard was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Enterprise ended up a good deal behind Kanab on Tuesday and lost 60-43. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Cowboys recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Enterprise now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Millard, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.

Millard came up short against Enterprise when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 54-41. Can Millard avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
