Softball Game Preview: Lee Park Prep Knights vs. Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors

The Lee Park Prep Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee Park Prep has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Lee Park Prep came up short against Union Academy on Monday, falling 17-7. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nevaeh Alexander made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Baylor Currie also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Metrolina Christian Academy's offense. They lost 16-0 to Central Academy on Monday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Metrolina Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Lee Park Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Lee Park Prep skirted past Metrolina Christian Academy 7-6 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lee Park Prep since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
