Lincoln-Way East posted their closest win since August 30th on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Griffins.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Lincoln-Way East who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 17-25, 25-22.

Kolby Ross paced Lincoln-Way East's offense, picking up 11 kills. Ross got some help from Maggie Simon and her 17 assists. Maddie Hellrung controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 9-6. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Lincoln-Way East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Neuqua Valley on the 20th. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Yorkville on the 20th.
