Baseball Recap: DeWitt Takes a Loss

If DeWitt was feeling good fresh off their 16-1 takedown of Des Arc last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dragons fell just short of the Woodlawn Bears by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Dragons have suffered against the Bears since April 1, 2019.

DeWitt's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Woodlawn, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

DeWitt will face off against Star City at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Woodlawn, they will square off against Bigelow at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
