Volleyball Game Preview: Albemarle Bulldogs vs. Gray Stone Day Knights + How To Watch

Albemarle is 0-10 against Gray Stone Day since October of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will take on the Knights at 6:00 p.m. Albemarle will be strutting in after a win while Gray Stone Day will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Albemarle made easy work of North Rowan and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Albemarle's got stronger as the match went on, holding North Rowan to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-8, 25-6.

The home team had come away the winner the last seven times Gray Stone Day and Union Academy had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Knights came up short against the Cardinals on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Knights fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Cardinals since Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-21, 25-8.

Gray Stone Day's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Albemarle, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Albemarle suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Gray Stone Day in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
