Softball Game Preview: Kingsley Stags vs. Buckley Bears

Kingsley is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Monday. They will look to defend their home field against the Buckley Bears at 4:15 p.m. Kingsley is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

While Kingsley's win against Pine River Area wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Stags narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bucks 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Stags have posted since April 27, 2024.

Meanwhile, Buckley made easy work of Roscommon on Thursday and carried off an 18-2 victory. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Bucks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Maddi Sladek, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

The victory got Kingsley back to even at 3-3. As for Buckley, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
