Softball Game Preview: Williamsport Millionaires vs. Holy Redeemer Royals

The Williamsport Millionaires will challenge the Holy Redeemer Royals at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Williamsport has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Williamsport is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Mifflin County with a sharp 19-12 victory on Thursday. The Millionaires haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, Holy Redeemer finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They fell 6-2 to Loyalsock Township. The Royals' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Holy Redeemer saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoe Pecuch, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Williamsport's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Holy Redeemer, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.

Williamsport came out on top in a nail-biter against Holy Redeemer in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 7-6. Do the Millionaires have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Royals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
