Recap: Legacy Lightning vs. Broomfield Eagles
The Legacy Lightning posted their closest victory since November 27, 2023 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Broomfield 53-50. Winning may never get old, but Legacy sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Ari Harpring continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Delescinskis, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joey Cook, who scored 15 points. Kwinn Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Legacy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Broomfield, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.
Legacy will head out on the road to take on Boulder at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Broomfield, Broomfield and Rocky Mountain will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Rocky Mountain has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 315 points over their last five matches.
