Softball Recap: West Brook Takes a Loss

West Brook came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Sterling Rangers, falling 9-2. The Bruins have struggled against the Rangers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

West Brook saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennadie Keys (2027), who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

West Brook's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Sterling, they moved to 4-5-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, West Brook will venture away from home to face off against Port Arthur Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Port Arthur Memorial has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something West Brook will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Sterling, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lee at 6:00 p.m.
