Baseball Recap: Har-Ber's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Har-Ber entered their tilt with Springdale on Tuesday with nine consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with ten. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-3 last Monday.

BLAINE VAN HILSEN tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, DAVIS DYER was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. LUKE CORNELISON was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Har-Ber's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Springdale, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Looking ahead, Har-Ber will be taking part in a tournament against Mansfield Homeschool at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Springdale, they will venture away from home to challenge Glendale at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
