Whiteville has gone 10-0 against West Columbus recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. After both having extra time off, both will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:00 p.m. Whiteville will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Two weeks ago, Whiteville didn't have quite enough to beat Heide Trask and fell 40-37. That's two games in a row now that the Wolfpack have lost by exactly three points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Columbus). They came out on top against Union by a score of 40-33 last Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

West Columbus found their leader in freshman Demya Powell, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Powell has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Iyana Lowery, who posted 13 points.

West Columbus smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

West Columbus' victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5. As for Whiteville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything came up roses for Whiteville against West Columbus in their previous meeting back in February, as the team secured a 50-23 win. Will Whiteville repeat their success, or does West Columbus have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
