Football Game Preview: Trezevant Bears vs. Mitchell Tigers

The Trezevant Bears will venture away from home to challenge the Mitchell Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Trezevant turned things around against Hillcrest two weeks ago. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Vikings 16-14.

The critical scores for Trezevant came from Terry Tucker lll and Tyrese Johnson.

Meanwhile, while Mitchell put up some points on Friday, the same can't be said for Hillcrest. The Tigers blew past the Vikings 22-0. Considering the Tigers have won three contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Trezevant's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Mitchell, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Trezevant was dealt a bruising 32-0 defeat at the hands of Mitchell in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
