Volleyball Recap: Otsego Comes Up Short at Home Against Leipsic

Otsego unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Leipsic Vikings on Saturday. The Knights have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Otsego was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-9, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Avery Carpenter and Reese Genson, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Cassie Bunde and her 20 assists. Emma Dahms controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Otsego will challenge Liberty Center at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leipsic, they will square off against St. John's at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
