Recap: South Panola Tigers vs. Lake Cormorant

The South Panola Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 60-45 to Lake Cormorant. South Panola has not had much luck with Lake Cormorant recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Demartric Houston, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Griffin, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.

Even though they lost, South Panola smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. This was only their 12th loss (out of 14 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.

South Panola dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Lake Cormorant, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Grenada the next time they take the court. Lake Cormorant will head out to face Grenada at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while South Panola will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
