Central is a perfect 10-0 against Crescent Valley since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Panthers will head out to face off against the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Central has five straight victories, Crescent Valley has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Central will bounce into Monday's match after beating West Albany, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. The Panthers walked away with a 5-0 win over the Bulldogs on Friday.

Meanwhile, Crescent Valley might've scored the first runs on Wednesday, but it was Lebanon who claimed the real prize. The Raiders took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors.

Ashley Howitt was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Central pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Crescent Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Everything went Central's way against Crescent Valley in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Central made off with a 10-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
