Basketball Recap: York Victorious

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but York ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 49-40 victory over the Glenbard North Panthers. For the Dukes, this counts as revenge for the 44-43 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

York's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Glenbard North, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. York will head out to challenge Oak Park-River Forest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Oak Park-River Forest has lost three straight at home , while York has lost five on the road. As for Glenbard North, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Glenbard North Panthers face off against the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wheaton-Warrenville South has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
