Baseball Recap: Catasauqua Gets the Win

Catasauqua hadn't done well against Salisbury Township recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Rough Riders came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 8-5. The game was the first time the Rough Riders have beaten the Falcons on their field since April 10, 2021.

Lynkan Moore was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Catasauqua's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 0-16 when he doesn't). Joey Conway was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Catasauqua and bumps their season record up to 3-17. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Salisbury Township, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.

Catasauqua will head out to challenge Southern Lehigh at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Salisbury Township does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
