Softball Recap: Agricultural Science Takes a Loss

Agricultural Science came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Solorio Sun Warriors, falling 28-21. The Cyclones were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Sun Warriors earlier this season, when they won 22-21.

Ariana Alcantar led a balanced group of hitters, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Schied, who scored four runs and stole six bases while going 3-for-4.

Agricultural Science's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Solorio, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Agricultural Science will face off against Juarez at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Solorio, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Victoria Soto at 4:30 p.m. on the 18th.
