Soccer Game Preview: North Side vs. Wyatt

The North Side Steers will venture away from home to face off against the Wyatt Chaparrals at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. North Side has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 2nd.

North Side fell victim to Arlington Heights and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 8-0 to the Yellowjackets. While losing is never fun, North Side can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 649th, while Arlington Heights are ranked 264th).

Meanwhile, Wyatt also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Arlington Heights on Thursday, falling 8-0. The defeat continues a trend for Wyatt in their meetings with Arlington Heights: they've now lost seven in a row.

Wyatt's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for North Side, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Everything went North Side's way against Wyatt in their previous matchup back in February of 2025, as North Side made off with a 5-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Steers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
