Soccer Recap: Camden Military Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Camden Military after they claimed the first goal on Tuesday, however, they wouldn't score again. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Lewisville Lions who were credited with the win. The Lewisville Lions got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Camden Military Spartans' one. The Spartans' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Their goal came courtesy of Tamagavens Altema, which was the first he's scored this season.

Camden Military's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lewisville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Camden Military will square off against Marlboro Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lewisville, they will take on Lower Richland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lewisville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.
