Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Ashwaubenon

Ashwaubenon lost to Manitowoc Lincoln back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The stars were shining brightly for the Ashwaubenon Jaguars in a 62-44 win over the Manitowoc Lincoln Ships. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Jaguars' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Ships are ranked 22nd).

Ashwaubenon now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Manitowoc Lincoln, they moved to 6-1 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Bay Port the next time they take the court. Manitowoc Lincoln will head out to face Bay Port at 7:00 p.m. on January 24, 2025, while Ashwaubenon will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 28, 2025.
