Basketball Recap: Eagletown Wins Going Away Against Haworth

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Battiest, Eagletown was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They took down the Haworth Lions 58-40. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Lions back in November of 2024, they had to take a 64-45 defeat.

Eagletown has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Haworth, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Eagletown and Haworth could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. Eagletown (ranked 343rd) will meet Moyers (ranked 114th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Haworth will challenge Wright City at 8:00 p.m. on January 14th down 245 places (306 vs. 61).
