Softball Recap: Azusa Takes a Loss

After flying high against Baldwin Park last Tuesday, Azusa came back down to earth. The Aztecs fell just short of the Garey Vikings by a score of 7-5 on Tuesday. The Aztecs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Azusa has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Garey, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Azusa is set to challenge their familiar foe Nogales at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Garey will take on rival Sierra Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
