Baseball Recap: Newark Charter School Wins Going Away Against Seaford

Newark Charter School barely beat Seaford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Patriots were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Bluejays on Saturday. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by exactly ten runs.

Newark Charter School got a great performance from Logan Matthews as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched.

At the plate, Shane Connor was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. James Horning also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Newark Charter School has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Seaford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
