After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fort Bend Hightower, Fort Bend Austin was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Fort Bend Bush Broncos with a sharp 10-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won nine in a row.

Ioanna Avlonitis was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Amira Marfani, who went 4-for-5 with three doubles, three RBI, and one run.

Fort Bend Austin's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Fort Bend Bush, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-9-1.

Looking ahead, Fort Bend Austin will welcome Ridge Point at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fort Bend Bush, they are taking a road trip to challenge Fort Bend Dulles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Broncos are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
