Softball Recap: Alexandria Finds Home Field Redemption Against Neville

Alexandria's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to West Monroe on Thursday. The Trojans blew past the Neville Tigers 8-2. Considering the Trojans have won 17 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Sarah Grace Buckels was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary Claire Brinkman, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.

Alexandria's victory bumped their record up to 24-7. As for Neville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season.

Alexandria will be playing at home against Southside at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Neville, they will head out on the road to square off against Ouachita Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
