Basketball Recap: West Middlesex Takes a Loss

After flying high against Reynolds last Tuesday, West Middlesex came back down to earth. The West Middlesex Big Reds lost 67-41 to the Rocky Grove Orioles on Friday. The matchup was a close 26-23 at the break, but unfortunately for the Big Reds it sure didn't stay that way.

Rocky Grove's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landen Carter led the charge by going 9-for-16 en route to 20 points along with five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamison Hughes, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.

West Middlesex's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Rocky Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

As of now, neither West Middlesex nor Rocky Grove have any future games scheduled.
