Basketball Recap: Hamilton Heights Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Hamilton Heights Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. The contest between the Hawks and The Rock National Lions didn't end well, with the Hawks falling 101-87. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (63), the Hawks still had to take the loss.

Loss or not, Hamilton Heights Christian Academy got some senior leadership from Bj Bradford and Jarron Talley. Bradford went 11-for-27 on his way to 28 points in addition to eight assists and six boards, while Talley shot 5-for-8 from deep and dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten assists. The matchup was Bradford's third in a row with at least 21 points. Toms Birste was another key player, putting up ten points.

Hamilton Heights Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Hamilton Heights Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Webb at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for The Rock National, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Balboa at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Bengals have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
