Burlington barely beat Fort Madison the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Grayhounds' defense stepped up to hand the Bloodhounds a 3-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for Burlington, who have now won six matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

The win (which was Burlington's third in a row) raised their record to 7-1-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Fort Madison, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 11-1-1.
