Softball Recap: Mifflin County Comes Up Short

Mifflin County managed to slip by Central Mountain the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Huskies lost 12-4 to the Wildcats on Monday. The Huskies' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Ava Baker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Mifflin County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12-1. As for Central Mountain, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mifflin County will welcome Mechanicsburg at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central Mountain, they will challenge State College at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Little Lions have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
