Houston County had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Northside Eagles 72-29. That 43 point margin sets a new team best for the Bears this season.

Leading Houston County to victory were Andrew Wahiwe and Kam Plummer. Wahiwe went 9-for-13 on his way to 24 points, while Plummer went 7-for-8 en route to 16 points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Plummer a new career-high in field goal percentage (88%). Another player making a difference was Malik Gillespie, who posted five points in addition to seven assists and five steals.

Houston County's win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Northside, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.

Houston County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northside, they and Veterans will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Veterans knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Northside likes a good challenge.
