Soccer Game Preview: Gordon Central vs. Coosa

The Gordon Central Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Coosa Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gordon Central has given up an average of 4.8 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Gordon Central's offense. They lost 10-0 to Woodland on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Coosa kept a clean sheet against Dalton Academy on Friday. They blew past the Pumas 3-0. Coosa haven't had any issues with Dalton Academy recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Gordon Central has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Coosa, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Gordon Central suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Coosa when the teams last played back in March of 2022. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
