It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Catalina Foothills had no problem doing just that on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Cienega Bobcats. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Bryce Weege was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
