Lexington posted their closest win since December 16, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 37-35 victory over the Lawson Cardinals. The 37-point effort marked the Minutemen's lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Lawson's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andrew Phipps, who posted seven points along with eight boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Chase Jones, who had seven points.

Lexington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. Lawson has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season.
