Recap: Falls City Tigers vs. Raymond Central Mustangs
The Falls City Tigers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 26-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Raymond Central. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Falls City in their matchups with Raymond Central: they've now lost four in a row.
Raymond Central was led to victory by Kyle Peterson and Wyatt Jelinek. Peterson rushed for 163 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, while Jelinek rushed for 217 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. Peterson's longest rush was for an incredible 92 yards.
Falls City's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.3 points per game. As for Raymond Central, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.
Falls City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Raymond Central is also done with their season.
