Softball Recap: Lake Wales Comes Up Short

Lake Wales lost against Bartow back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Highlanders took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellow Jackets. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lake Wales saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kirsten McRae, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Another was Keira Davis, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Lake Wales' defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Bartow, their record is now 16-5.

Lake Wales wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 17-0 victory against Hardee on the 15th. As for Bartow, they have also already played their next game, a 16-2 win against McKeel Academy on the 15th.
