Basketball Recap: East Gaston Comes Up Short

East Gaston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 68-56 to the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 604th, while the Gryphons are ranked 285th).

East Gaston's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

As of now, neither East Gaston nor Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy have any future games scheduled.
