Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carbondale Area). They escaped with a win on Monday against the Susquehanna Sabers by the margin of a single free throw, 46-45. The win was some much needed relief for the Chargers as it spelled an end to their 14-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Carbondale Area's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-12. As for Susquehanna, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Carbondale Area will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Blue Ridge at 7:15 p.m. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Carbondale Area has lost three straight at home , while Blue Ridge has lost three on the road. Susquehanna does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
