M.L. King won the last time they faced Drew and things went their way on Friday too. The Lions took their contest with ease, bagging a 48-14 win over Drew. Considering the Lions have won four matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

M.L. King's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aaron Graham led the charge by picking up 117 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 117 receiving yards gave Graham a new career-high. Kamar Brumfield was in the mix too, providing M.L. King with two scores.

Another reason for the win was M.L. King's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Antavion Smith, Jowell Hernandez, and Ja'Myis Chapple, who each picked up one sack apiece. M.L. King received some extra help from Jordan Woods, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

The victory was the third in a row for M.L. King, bringing their record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.7 points over those games. As for Drew, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

M.L. King wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 40-0 victory against Forest Park on the 30th. As for Drew, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-6 loss against Mays on the 31st.
