After only seven points in their last contest, M.L. King made sure to put some points up on the board against Drew on Friday. The Lions blew past Drew 48-14. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 141st, while Drew are ranked 428th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win was the third in a row for M.L. King, bringing their record up to 8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.7 points on average over those games. As for Drew, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
