Softball Recap: Bethlehem Center Comes Up Short

Bethlehem Center blew Avella out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Avella got their revenge. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 9-7. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Keira Lamp was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Bella Stepp, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Bethlehem Center's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Avella, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bethlehem Center will face off against rival Jefferson-Morgan at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Avella is set to take on their familiar foe Carmichaels at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
