Softball Recap: Waterloo Takes a Loss

Waterloo fell victim to Deerfield and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 9-0 to the Demons. The Pirates' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Waterloo's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Deerfield, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waterloo will face off against Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season. As for Deerfield, they will square off against Johnson Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
