The Bishop Moore Hornets will square off against The First Academy Royals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Moore is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
Bishop Moore will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Mount Dora on Wednesday. The Hornets put the hurt on the Hurricanes with a sharp 14-3 victory. The Hornets have beaten the Hurricanes the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Hurricanes has come to flipping the script.
Drew Kunz spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.
