Soccer Game Preview: Providence School vs. Bishop Snyder

The Providence School Stallions will face off against the Bishop Snyder Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Bishop Snyder will be up against a hot Providence School squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Providence School's defense stepped up to hand Christ's Church Academy a 5-0 shutout last Thursday. The Stallions' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

They hit Christ's Church Academy with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kendall Trimiar (2), Avery Cannon, Katie Cunningham, and Addison Pitts.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bishop Snyder had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Kodiaks with a sharp 9-1 victory. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six goals or more this season.

Providence School's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three contests. As for Bishop Snyder, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5-2.

Everything went Providence School's way against Bishop Snyder in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as Providence School made off with a 4-0 win.
