Soccer Recap: Union Comes Up Short

Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Spring Creek Gators. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by just one goal.

Union's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Spring Creek, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-1-2.

Looking ahead, Union will challenge West Bladen at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Spring Creek, they will take on Hobbton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Spring Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.
