Softball Recap: Cleveland Takes a Loss

Cleveland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Grand Oaks Grizzlies, falling 6-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in February.

Cleveland's loss dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Grand Oaks, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-7.

Coming up, Cleveland will take on Willis at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Willis' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Cleveland's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Grand Oaks, they have already played their next game, a 5-4 defeat against Summer Creek on the 29th.
