Baseball Game Preview: Greenon Knights vs. Cedarville Indians

The Greenon Knights will face off against the Cedarville Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Greenon has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with eight straight losses, while Cedarville will come in with three straight victories.

On Tuesday, Greenon came up short against Legacy Christian Academy and fell 6-1.

Greenon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grady Evans, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Grayson Meizler also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Cedarville let Greenon stack four runs on them in the seventh inning on Monday but luckily Cedarville prevailed anyway. The Indians came out on top in a nail-biter against the Knights, sneaking past 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since March 28th.

Cedarville pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Greenon, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-19.
