Baseball Recap: Unicoi County's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Unicoi County got themselves on the board against Anderson County on Wednesday, but Anderson County never followed suit. They skirted past the Mavericks 2-0. That's two games straight that the Blue Devils have won by exactly two runs.

Unicoi County's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Harris, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That's the most hits Harris has posted since back in April.

The win was the third in a row for Unicoi County, bringing their record up to 20-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Anderson County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 29-11.

Unicoi County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mavericks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
